Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. We participate in a variety of community and international service projects, as well as leadership and professional development. Typical community service projects include working with habitat for humanity, serving meals to the homeless, recycling, working with local community organizations and more. We also work with our sponsoring Rotary Club of Port Klang with their various community projects. Join us to find out more

Happy New Year!!

Dear fellow Rotaractors, Rotarians & friends,

Happy New Year to all of you! Hope this New Year 2010 brings lots of good news to all of us!

2009 has been a rather fun and interesting year for me, where I’ve learned and did my best to serve Rotaract as well as benefit all of us. In these 6 months period, we had actually done so many big projects!! Youth Leadership Congress, Blood Donation Drive, Polio Eradication Fund Raise, District Rotaract Conference, Seminars, Project Tunari and etc. Im not sure, how many lives we had saved so far through our Blood Donation Drive as well as Polio Eradication Fund Contribution. Isn’t that so satisfying being a Rotaractor?

To add on to that, DRR Sanjeev had pointed out in his speech during the DRC at Kuala Kangsar, that all other small clubs should take us as an example. Since we managed to conduct big projects within 6 months with just a few of us. Wow!! Now I totally agree that quantity does not matter. What really matters is the quality, and Rotaract Club of Port Klang Centennial has it. My sincere thanks from the bottom of my heart to all those who had contributed directly and indirectly so far. You have actually make a way to improve yourself. I’m sure all of us had learned a lot through Rotaract withins these 6 months. No doubt, I’ve learned a lot. And it has been a very exciting first half RIY09/10 for me, with all of you. I hope you too had enjoyed your presence here with me.

I’ve also made many close friends in our club itself within these short period of time, and i'm sure you too. I suppose you can look forward for more fellowship activities to foster our relationship in the second half of RIY09/10.

So, to kickstart the second half of RIY09/10, we will be having a general meeting on this Thursday. Details of the meeting are as below:

Time: 8.00PM
Venue: PP Kuah’s Office, Klang
Agenda: DRR’s Visit

DRR Sanjeev will be having an official visit to our club this Thursday. Thus, I’m hoping for a full attendance from all of you. Guests are mostly welcome.

I have certainly enjoyed having you, be it, active or non-active members.
